Hiking and camping
I grew up in the Laurentian region of Québec where lakes are abundant and hikes never disappoint. The region's endless deciduous forests nurtured my love for the outdoors, including hiking and camping. I've had the chance to hike all over Québec and camp in many of its national parks.
Fishing
My passion for fishing came later in life, but quickly took over most of my free-time in the summer. I've fished in some of Québec most beautiful lakes and rivers, in both freshwater and saltwater. I was also recently a fish-guide for the Parc de la Riviere-des-Milles-Îles, where my job was to catch fish and give private fishing lessons (amazing right?!). My favourite fish is the Walleye!
Birdwatching
I first started birding just over a year ago and have since been going out every chance I get. I've now observed over 300 species of birds, 243 of those being in Québec. Not bad for an amateur like me, who still can't differentiate flycatchers in the Empidonax genus (as shown by my face in the picture). My favourite bird family is definitely the New-World Warblers (Parulidae), which I've seen 29 species of to this date. I currently use a Nikon P900 camera and carry my Vortex binoculars and spotting scope almost everywhere.
